Hi Fin Islanders, Great course, great volunteers,
great time had by me and I'm sure everyone else. It's a hidden gem in the
running community and I feel conflicted. Part of me wants to tell everyone I
know about this amazing race. Another part wants to keep this hidden jewel all
to myself. I imagine it's a bit of a dilemma for you organizers as

FANTASTIC RUN! I've been very lucky to have been
able to run a lot of different races over the years: from Vermilion's Lakeland
Runaway Marathon where 12 people stood behind a "starting line" the race
director drew in the dirt with a stick to New York City where 37,000 people
waited for the cannon to go off. Finlayson Island is one of my favorite races so
far. The trail was beautiful. Everything was wonderfully organized from the
esteemed Battleford mayor helping direct traffic, to the horn going off on time,
to the trail being so well marked (what a blessing!), to the door prizes waiting
for us when we got back. Finally, everyone was so FRIENDLY. I'm proud my town
puts on such a class event. Wayne

for putting it on. I will be telling my family and friends about the run. Please
