Where: The race will be mainly on Finlayson Island and the mountain bike trails by Sask Hosptial

Schedule:
Race Package Pick-up day August 24, 2012:
BTC Indian Health Services 1192-101st street in the front from 12:00pm- 3:00pm
Battlefords Co-op 9800 Territorial Dr.- Territorial Place Mall from 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Race Day:
Please give yourselves enough time to warm up and prepare for the race. We recommend 7:45am kids who are participating in the 1km event and 8:00am for all other racers.
START/FINISH Line: We will be located on the Flats (baseball diamonds and soccer field) We will be located near the entry of the parking lot.
Start Times:
Childrens Challenge 1 Km: Start time: 8:00am sharp
All other events walkers and runners 5, 10, 21 km start time: 8:30 am sharp
Water stations: Water stations will be available but we strongly suggest you bring your own extra fluids as necessary.
There will be 2 water stations available. For those of you who are participating in the 5 and 10km
races the first water station will be available to you. 10km racers have the opportunity to stop at this
station 3 times during their race (see map in your race pkgs for details).
21km racers will have 2 water stations available throughout their race. They will have a chance to
stop at each station 2 times see map in your race pkgs for details). 21km racers must check in with
the 2nd water station for safety purposes.
Information station: When you arrive there will be an information station available for questions and details of the race.
Quitting or Switching in the middle of a race:
If at anytime you need to quit the race please head back to our info station at the START/FINISH or a water station to let us know. There will be no switching distances during the race (ie your were registered for 21km event but decide to do a 10km race instead during or before the race). If you do decide to switch, your time will not be posted and will be recognized as a disqualification.
Courtesy: Please be respectful of other runners or walkers as some of the course is an in and out route and some trails may be single file.
Important to note: There will be no registration on the day of the race as all our volunteers will be occupied with other roles. Please register a head of time and for you procrastinators, you will have your last chance to sign-up on August 24th, 2012 at the Race Package Pick-up locations. No exceptions :(
Bathrooms: Their will be porta pottys available on the flats provided by Bridgefest and there will be a bathroom on the island where the 10km and 21km participants will have a chance to pass by it.
Your Lovable K9s: To be safe and fair to all participants, dogs are not permitted.
Bug Spray: Bring your bug spray as the mosquito population may be high that day.
Finish line: Once you completed the race, make sure our timers have taken your name off your bib number. There will be snacks and drinks for your recovery.
